We’re so excited to be partnering with 4-time WNBA Champion Lindsey Whelan to bring the #DrDishFam some awesome workouts/workouts to help elevate their game!

Lindsay has earned numerous honors and championships in the WNBA and the U.S. National Team. She played for the Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx. She was a five-time All-WNBA selection and finished her career with over 300 wins. Plus, she won two Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2016. Stay tuned for all the great workouts Lindsay will show you!

Lindsay’s first workout incorporated a lot of conditioning and repetitive drills to simulate game fatigue and build mental toughness! Lindsay implements this workout using: Dr. Dish CT Machine.

This exercise has players shoot moves from three different zones. The goal is to score 11 points in each zone.

  1. From baseline to elbow
  2. From elbow to elbow
  3. From the opposite baseline to the elbow

Check out the video below to see the drill in action!

11 Game Training

  • The drill begins with players starting 15 feet from the baseline and catching and shooting passes from a dish machine.
  • Next, the players run to the same side elbow, catch the ball and shoot.
  • Players continue to shoot back and forth from the baseline to their elbows.
  • Every success is plus 1, every failure is minus 1.
  • The player continues to move from the baseline to the elbow and shoots, which adds up to a plus 11 for the player’s score.
  • Players repeat the same steps of moving and shooting from two positions: elbow to elbow, and from the opposite baseline to elbow.

This drill is designed to challenge players mentally by simulating the pressure/fatigue they will feel during a game. Practicing this drill will help players prepare to shoot without moving at the most important moments of the game.
