What have you been enjoying/eating/watching/reading lately? As the days got darker (I’m looking at you, 4:15 p.m.), I was looking for more sparkly lights. The first is the Thanksgiving team, which includes parents, two children, and a few friends. Since I’m usually behind the camera, I tried to take a group shot. oscar style. Did it kind of work?

My dad and Toby are becoming more and more alike as the years go by. They are each the firstborn of their generation!

After we had a big feast, I was cleaning up and my mom was doing some more urgent dishes when our friend Aaron walked up. “Can I take my turn too?” he asked. “I like washing dishes.” It was a truly gracious offer, and seeing my friends roll up their sleeves to help made me feel like a big family.

The next weekend, we picked out a tall, narrow Christmas tree that seemed to stand in the perfect position.
