The theme of this month’s WIT & Delight is about the art of the mix of interior design. Share more information about this topic how You can apply the art of the mix to your house.

When I first sat down to write this article, I thought of a cooking book. Salt, fat, mountain, heat Author: Samin Nosrat (I strongly recommend!). No, this is not an interior design book Be A book that helps people find out how to mix and balance other elements in the cooking area. I decided to write a similar approach and write about how to mix other elements in the interior design area.

Today I share the five major interior design elements that my favorite rooms have in common: color, pattern, texture, old, and space. The reason why each element is important is:

5 interior design elements require all rooms

1. Color

If you have had a painting class, you usually know that the painter usually adds more when you start with a large field of large color on the canvas. Consider a room designing the canvas. First, select the default color (it can be the existing color of the room. or The color you will bring), consider the complementary colors you want to add to the mix. Regarding color theory, this article helps to understand how various colors are together. In this article Home and garden According to the interior designer, it is an interesting take of the color rules to follow.

2. Pattern

The pattern adds interest, depth and feelings to all spaces. Without it, the space can feel somewhat flat. The pattern can be applied bold, subtle, gorgeous, neutral, extensively or optionally. There is no shortage of ways to bring patterns from wallpaper to interior decoration, rugs, and decorative items.

The basic bedrooms include an antique wooden night stand with pink and green new wallpaper, light headboards, layer rugs, internal shutter and white marble tower.

3. texture

I like to add texture to every room. Similar to a room without a pattern, rooms without a variety of textures feel somewhat dull for me. I especially want to bring texture through fabrics (eg velvet, linen, wool) and materials (eg Rattan, marble, rustic wood, metal).

4. Old one

There is always a space for antiques in all rooms, especially new pieces. Furniture, art, lighting fixtures or small decorative items, old sculptures bring personality and charm to the house.

5. Based on space

The grounding element is to serve as the basis of the room. It is to tie the whole design into one. I use local rugs to ground the space most often. It helps to define the seating space of the living room, bedroom or restaurant. It also provides another opportunity to bring color and texture to the space. The wallpaper can be used as a grounding element, especially when applying to the accent wall and using a bold pattern.

There are a variety of books, magazines and decorative objects in the square coffee table. There are a variety of books, magazines and decorative objects in the square coffee table.

If these five elements are maintained at the forefront of the mind throughout the design process, the technology of the mix will be much simpler. All these factors can continue to push and pull as design environment settings develop. After all, each room in my house must be seasoned and refined on a bit unit instead of being updated and finished.
