Aaron Rodgers brought back Fireman Ed in his brewing beef with the Jets.

Fireman Ed has an influential supporter in the plight of the Jets organization.

Last week, a prominent Jets fan, whose real name is Ed Anzalone, claimed that his presence on MetLife Stadium video boards was being “phased out” by the team.

No topic is off-limits for Aaron Rodgers’ weekly appearances on “The Pat McAfee Show,” so this was a situation where they had to get to the root cause.

“What’s going on? You don’t like Fireman Ed anymore? What’s going on?” McAfee asked Rodgers.

“I love Fireman Ed. I don’t know.” Rogers said.

At this point, McAfee’s producer Ty Schmit was under the impression of Fireman Ed: “The Jets are trying to phase me out.”

Rodgers hinted this is a situation that will improve.

“We’ll see you on Halloween. “I’ll watch when I get home.” Rodgers spoke as if to hint that Fireman Ed’s longtime spot on the video board will be restored.

Schmidt went back to his impressions, saying he was the greatest thing to happen to the franchise in the last 20 years and that the team didn’t think highly of him.

“is it so [appreciate him]“I’d like to see that guy up there again,” Rogers said.

Rodgers said he heard about the controversy but was “unaware” the apparent omission occurred during the game at MetLife Stadium.

The Jets quarterback likened the situation to “when they tried to phase out the bikini girls” on the Green Bay scoreboard, sparking a backlash from fans.

“There was a big backlash.” Rogers laughed.

In a video on Instagram last week, Fireman Ed was adamant that something is happening in the Jets’ on-field production that doesn’t see much of him in key moments.

“I don’t know exactly what’s happening, but they’re phasing us out,” he said. “If anyone knows anything, please let me know. Because it’s clear that’s what’s happening. And it needs to stop because we need home field advantage. That’s what we have and we have to keep it going.

“If you know something, please let me know.”
