The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy breaks down AFC East storylines as they head into training camp.

buffalo bills

coach: Sean McDermott (8th grade)

Training camp site: Rochester

Key additions: Curtis Samuel and first-round rookie Kion Coleman could compete for the No. 1 WR spot.

Maybe S Mike Edwards and WR Marques Valdez-Scantling can share some of the Chiefs’ secrets as they switch sides in the AFC’s greatest rivalry.

QB Mitch Trubisky returns as the second backup. DT Austin Johnson will help in run defense.

Josh Allen and the Bills have a lot of questions. APH

Major loss: Tensions with Stefon Diggs finally flared, and the four-time 1,100-yard receiver was traded to Texas.

He’s not the only WR to have moved on. Gabe Davis also joined the Jaguars.

The Bills also shed their annual playoff core, releasing C Mitch Moss, S Jordan Poyer and CB Tre’Davious White to clear the salary cap.

EDGE Leonard Floyd took 10.5 sacks for the 49ers. S Micah Hyde is unsigned.

Training Camp Storylines to Watch: Can the Bills complete the pass?

QB Josh Allen will have to quickly get used to the six receivers he’s had over the past four years.

Khalil Shakir (39 catches) is the only player returning from last season.

Can the Bills reassemble a secondary that lacks the time-tested cohesion of the last group to defend the pass?

McDermott has no coordinator to blame, and if this team starts slow again, they’re going to be in trouble.

Miami Dolphins

coach: Mike McDaniel (3rd grade)

Training camp site: Miami Gardens, Florida

Key additions: The speed-obsessed Dolphins will get to see how much power WR Odell Beckham Jr. has.

The same thing applies to the Flyers’ defense, which is handled by S Jordan Poyer and DL Calais Campbell.

At least LB Jordyn Brooks, CB Kendall Fuller and C Aaron Brewer are in their mid-30s. First-round rookie DE Chap Robinson fills a big need.

Major loss: DT Christian Wilkins (Raiders) and RG Robert Hunt (Panthers) made big money in free agency.

CB Javien Howard and EDGE Emmanuel Ogbah were cut to free up a combined $32.3 million in salary cap space.

The defensive departures led to the addition of EDGE Andrew Van Ginkel (Vikings), LB Jerome Baker (Seahawks), DT Rayqua Davis (Colts), and S Brandon Jones (Broncos).

OG Connor Williams leaves a huge hole.

Training Camp Storylines to Watch: QB Tua Tagovailoa is “nervous” about a contract extension, perhaps sensing the Dolphins’ reluctance to pay market value of $50 million per year given his injury history.

He’s shedding weight again after a much-publicized bulking workout last year.

Is the Dolphins’ pass rush good enough?

After ranking third in sacks last season with 56, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and several key pass rushers are out of town.

EDGE players Bradley Chubb (torn ACL) and Jaylan Phillips (torn Achilles) need to get back to top condition after coming off serious injuries.

New England Patriots

coach: Jerrod Mayo (1st grade)

Training camp site: Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Key additions: The era of Drake May has arrived, even if the first-round rookie starts on the bench.

QB Jacoby Brissett returns for a second stint, while RB Antonio Gibson, WR KJ Osborn, rookie WR Ja’Lynn Polk, and TEs Pharaoh Brown and Austin Hooper are expected to bolster one of the NFL’s worst offenses.

RT Chukwuma Okorafor and LB Sione Takitaki complete a modest free-agent class.

Major loss: The Mac Jones era ended in failure, with the starting quarterback being traded to the Jaguars after three seasons.

TE Mike Gageki and RT Trent Brown will remain teammates only with the Bengals.

RB Ezekiel Elliott returned to the Cowboys after one season as the Patriots’ rushing leader. CB JC Jackson remains unsigned.

All-time special teams player Matthew Slater and WR Devante Parker have retired.

Training Camp Storylines to Watch: The Bill Belichick era (six Super Bowls in 24 years) is over. Will the fun-loving, secretive “Patriot Way” continue under his protégé Mayo?

Or is mayonnaise a breath of fresh air?

Could May be able to move up her timeline and steal the Week 1 starting spot from Brissett?

With both quarterbacks playing as travel weapons, is their fate sealed? The Patriots spent a lot of money to keep their young core intact.

It’s time for RB Lamonde Stevenson, RT Mike Owenu and S Kyle Dugger to take the next step.

New York Jets

coach: Robert Saleh (4th grade)

Training camp site: Florham Park, New Jersey

Key additions: The offensive line overhaul included the acquisition of LT Tyron Smith and LG John Simpson, a trade for RT Morgan Moses, and the drafting of OT Olu Fashanu in the first round.

EDGE Hasson Reddick and DTs Jayvon Kinlaw and Reki Fotu are part of the new defensive line.

Mike Williams and rookie Malachi Cauley will complement Garrett Wilson on the receiving end, with QB Tyrod Taylor the new insurance plan.

Major loss: Two separate trades with the Broncos sent QB Zach Wilson and versatile DL John Franklin-Myers to the West.

Edge Bryce Huff followed up his 2023 surge with a massive contract with the Eagles, which allowed them to sign Redick in return.

OG Laken Tomlinson was a salary cap casualty when he joined the Seahawks.

S Jordan Whitehead (Buccaneers), DT Quinton Jefferson (Browns) and special teamer Justin Hardy left the team as free agents.

Training Camp Storylines to Watch: QB Aaron Rodgers, 40, is coming back from a torn Achilles (he missed four snaps last season) and trying to defy the clock the way only Tom Brady has.

Over the past two summers, the starting offensive linemen haven’t taken enough snaps to play together.

It can’t happen again. When will Williams (ACL tear) be medically cleared?

Redick skipped all OTAs and mandatory minicamps due to a contract dispute.

Will he practice or will he hold in?

The pressure is on Saleh.
