Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love took over for Aaron Rodgers as the starting quarterback last season and proved doubters wrong with an impressive showing despite a shaky first half of the season.

He ranked seventh in passing yards and second in passing touchdowns, leading the Packers to the playoffs and an impressive win over the Dallas Cowboys in the wild-card round.

But one thing that sets one star apart from another is the ability to thrive under pressure, and as Mina Kaims points out, Love excelled at this last season.

According to Kaims, he ranked third in QBR when pressured and fifth in pressure-sack rate, both impressive numbers for a first-time starter.

When Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets last season after serving as Green Bay’s QB1 since 2008, many were unsure whether Love was qualified to succeed Rodgers.

Love played three seasons in the NFL, but saw few starts and never showed that he had what it takes to be a true signal caller for a franchise.

But over the final eight games of the 2023 season, he completed 70.25 percent of his passes, throwing 18 touchdown passes to just one interception.

Green Bay won six of those games to advance to the playoffs as a wild-card team.

Against the Cowboys in the playoffs at “Jerry’s World,” Love completed 16 of 21 passes for 272 yards and three touchdown passes with no interceptions as the Packers jumped out to a surprising 27-0 lead.

Many expect the Packers to be stronger this season, given Love and his four wide receivers’ youth.
