Angel Reese declares participation in 2024 WNBA Draft

LSU star Angel Reese has officially committed to the WNBA, and she announced her decision on her own terms. via Instagram On Wednesday.

Angel Reese, Bayou Barbie, began her career at the University of Maryland before transferring to LSU during her junior year. That season, she excelled on and off the court, averaging a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds. From her social media presence to gracing the cover of SLAM 243 with her teammate and star Flau’jae Johnson.

“I wanted to know who Angel Liz really was.” Liz told us in 2023, before winning the NCAA Championship. “I feel like I found out who I am when I came to LSU. I can be myself here. “It’s something I really enjoy doing.”

2023-24 SEC Player of the Year explained She made the decision to Vogue’s Leah Faye Cooper, who shared it a week before the NCAA Tournament began. “I want to start from scratch again,” she said of playing in the WNBA. “I want to become a rookie again and grow again. I want to break down and learn and grow at the next level.”
