Anupama Today’s Written Update (August 12, 2024) –
Toshu’s Suspicion and Minu’s Visit
Toshu tells Banraj that he already suspected Meenu because she often visited Asha Bhavan. Pakhi sarcastically says that Meenu only chooses poor people from all over the world. Ba overhears this and is shocked. Dimpy arrives with the video of Sagar and Meenu, but Titu tries to stop her. Pakhi reveals that their father has already seen the video.
When Kinjal asks what happened, Toshu tells her not to defend Meenu, implying that she is not innocent. Pakhi supports this, but Kinjal argues that it could be a misunderstanding. Baa is worried and distressed about what to tell Dolly and Sanjay. Pakhi adds that she does not know what Meenu does when she is alone.
Banraji’s imaginary showdown
Banraj imagines Meenu coming and telling her that freedom does not suit her and accusing her of breaking his trust by visiting Asha Bhavan. He threatens to restrict her movements and says she will not meet Sagar or leave the house unsupervised. In his imagination, Meenu defends Sagar and says she loves him and that he is a good person. Banraj wakes up from his thoughts and goes out angrily.
Minu’s fears in the ashram
Despite being a psychologist, Meenu feels scared and changes clothes at the ashram. Anupama consoles her, saying she understands how she feels. Meanwhile, Bala treats Sagar’s injuries and asks why he fought so many goons. Sagar replies that he did it to protect the girl’s honor. Anupama helps by sewing the sleeves of Meenu’s dress and urges her to talk to Banraj before she changes clothes.
Vanraj’s disappointment and Meenu’s plea
Vanraj and Toshu see Meenu coming out of the ashram along with others. Kinjal and Titu try to reassure Baa who is afraid that Dolly and Sanjay Kumar will break off their relationship. Baa expresses concern that taking care of someone else’s daughter is four times more difficult. Kinjal warns Baa to calm down for her health but Baa feels like she has been stuck in constant trouble ever since they arrived.
Banraj sees Meenu looking upset and asks what’s wrong, but she assures him that everything is fine. However, she soon breaks down and tells them everything, explaining that Sagar saved her and that she went to Mami because she always remembers her in difficult times. Banraj calls Dolly and tells her that he is sending her back since Meenu is not listening to him. Meenu tearfully begs Banraj not to send her back, and explains everything to her mother over the phone.
Anupama and Nandita’s worries
Anupama and Nandita talk about Indra, who packs lunch boxes and doesn’t call or reply to messages. Nandita says she only has four lunch boxes, and Anupama suggests that she take orders from the canteen at the university.
Vanraj’s expectations from Meenu
Banraj stops Minu from touching his feet and says that she is not only his niece but also his daughter. He recalls how he placed her feet on his forehead when she was born and received blessings. Banraj admits that he has no expectations from Toshu and Pakhi but he has high expectations from her. He says that Toshu and Pakhi do not listen to him but he wants her to listen to him.
Minu’s Dilemma and Sagar’s Resolution
Sagar thinks of Meenu while he is wearing his uniform, and decides not to think about her because they do not go well together. Banraj warns him that associating with Sagar will ruin his social reputation and tells him to break off their relationship. Meenu agrees to follow his wishes.
After Vanraj leaves, Toshu and Pakhi also warn her and Baa tells her not to insult her family. Meenu cries and hugs Kinjal, feeling the burden of expectations and asking why there are conditions in a relationship. She expresses a deep bond with Mami and considers Sagar a good friend. Meanwhile, Bala informs Anupama that someone saved Anuj from the electric shock and asks her to find Aadhya and keep him safe.
Precap: Anupama asks Yashdeep to contact the Child Welfare Board about her foster care history. Suddenly, someone grabs Aadhya’s phone and startles her.
