As the buzz surrounding Apple’s $3,500 Vision Pro heated up last year, we heard repeatedly that Apple was planning to release two headsets: a much more powerful next-generation version and a cheaper variant that could gain more user adoption.
Now, according to a report: informationApple abandoned plans to release the more powerful device of the two and instead focused only on the cheaper version.

According to reports, this new, more affordable Vision headset (probably not the Pro product) could be released before the end of 2025 with fewer features.

This new Vision headset still has the high-resolution display that made the original Vision Pro a pleasure to use, but it’s missing some unnamed features and the headset will reportedly be more than a third lighter than the original. The Vision Pro is a very powerful and often impressive device in every way. It also has its fair share of issues, including the extremely high price, some user interface bugs, and the fact that it’s too heavy for some heads.
