Artem Dovbyk reveals Claudio Ranieri’s influence in Rome.

Artem Dovbyk got back on the scoresheet for Roma in last night’s 3-1 win over Genoa.

The Ukraine forward thanked Claudio Ranieri in his post-match press conference, revealing what the veteran technician has brought to the table since being appointed in November.

“When Ranieri arrived, I realized that my team needed more support and involvement from me and improved my skills on the field.”

“In the last two months, every game I have had more opportunities to improve. But now there is better communication between us in the field, which is very important. Now we are one team. Playing together and winning games is the most important thing.”

“We are improving every game thanks to players of great quality like Paulo and Pellegrini. We need time to adapt and improve our communication on the pitch. “I think now is the right time to do it.”

“Personally, I don’t feel much pressure. It wasn’t easy for Dzeko in his first season. He only scored 10 goals in 39 games and we know what happened after that. “I need to communicate more with my teammates and it will get better with time.”

“When I arrived in Rome, I realized that there was a lot of pressure on me as a striker. Because everyone expected me to score two or three goals every game. But now I am calmer and it is more important to adapt to my teammates.”

“I am enjoying my time in Rome,” he concluded.
