Ash Barty is set to return to the Brisbane International Courts with a focus on inspiring Australia’s next generation through sport and education.

Three-time Grand Slam champion, former world number one and Brisbane native Ash Barty will appear once again at the Pat Rafter Arena at the Brisbane International presented by Evie this December.
Barty, who established the Ash Barty Foundation in January 2024 to inspire, educate and provide opportunities for the next generation of Australians through sport and education, will lead a charity showcase alongside Pat Rafter and WTA and WTA players on the first day of the tournament no see. Opening at 9.30am on Sunday 29 December, the showcase will officially kick off Brisbane’s International Family Fun Day.
Barty is also an ambassador for the Brisbane International Ball Kids, who will proudly wear the ‘Ash Barty Foundation’ logo on the sleeves of their tournament uniforms. Ash will also present hats to the ballkids team before the tournament begins.
Barty said he was proud to be associated with the Brisbane International ballkids and was excited to connect with the next generation of tennis fans at the event.
“I would like to thank the Brisbane International team for providing us with the opportunity to raise awareness for the Ash Barty Foundation and engage with young Australians throughout the tournament,” Barty said.
“I’ve been lucky in terms of travel, but not all kids have the same experience.
“The goal of the Ash Barty Foundation is to provide more opportunities for boys and girls to discover what they love to do and give them the ability to chase their dreams.
“I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done so far. But this is just the beginning.
“It will be really fun to hit the court for a charity match with Pat Rafter and friends and meet lots of young tennis fans.”

Brisbane International Tournament Director Cameron Pearson is delighted to have Ash Barty back at the event.
“Ash has made a huge impact in Australia and around the world through her sporting achievements and most importantly, she is a native Queenslander and loved by everyone,” Mr Pearson said.
“We are proud to appoint Ash as an ambassador for Brisbane International ballkids and to partner with the Ash Barty Foundation for Family Fun Day.
“Having Ash and Pat Rafter together on the court will be a great sight for all tennis and sports fans and a great way to kick off Family Fun Day.”
