Atlanta Dream, Seattle Storm to Play in 2025 WNBA Canada Game in Vancouver

that 2025 WNBA Canada Games It is scheduled to take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on August 15 and will feature the Atlanta Dream taking on the Seattle Storm.

The game itself will be the league’s third time playing in Canada, but its first during the regular season.

The previous two WNBA Canada games took place during the preseason. The Storm and Los Angeles Sparks played at Rogers Place in Edmonton last May, while the Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx met at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena in 2023.

This will be the fifth WNBA game to be played outside the United States. Along with the previous two WNBA Canada Games, the league also hosted games in Mexico in 2004 and England in 2011.

Earlier this month, the league unveiled its first expansion franchises outside the United States with the Toronto Tempo, who will begin play in 2026, followed by the Golden State Valkyries, who will join the league for the 2025 season.

The Dream enters the 2024 season finishing 15-25 and advancing to the eventual WNBA champion New York Liberty in the first round of the playoffs. The Storm also fell in the opening round after going 25-15 in the regular season. They were eliminated in two games by the Las Vegas Aces.

The Dream’s Laeticia Amihere, from Mississauga, Ontario, is currently the only Canadian on both lists.
