Scott King, coach of Austin Spurs, has been named 2025 NBA G League coach of the year.

In the first season, King led Austin to the NBA G League playoffs at the Western Conference, and finished the best record at the West Conference with Stockton Kings with the Stockton Kings 22-12 (32-18).

Austin ranked first in defensive rating (102.3), stealing (10.1), two blocks per game (6.6) per game (48.4) per game (48.4). Spurs also set a league record this season and recorded the highest victory margin in league history (+23.5).

This season has won the NBA G League Championship with the Raptors 905 after participating in the SPERS FIRST Western Conference semi -finals since 2018.
