In all domestic women’s cricket tournaments, BCCI has announced prize money for the Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said on social media that the decision was made to honour and recognise “outstanding performances” in the Indian regional circuit. In men’s cricket, prize money will also be given to the Player of the Match in the Said Mushtaq Ali and Vijay Hazare matches.
BCCI’s Prize Initiatives
In line with the domestic cricket programme, Shah said in a post on X, “We are introducing cash prizes for Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament in all women’s and junior cricket tournaments.” Further, cash prizes will be given to Player of the Match in Senior Men’s Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournaments.

As many as 11 tournaments including Senior One-Day Trophy, Senior One-Day Challenger Trophy, Senior Multi-Day Challenger Trophy, Senior T20 Trophy, Senior T20 Challenger Trophy, U-23 T20 Trophy, U-23 One-Day Trophy, U-19 One-Day Trophy, U19 T20 Trophy, U19 T20 Challenger Trophy and U-15 One-Day Trophy are likely to be included in BCCI’s women’s domestic schedule for 2024-25.
The Dooley Trophy 2024 marks the start of India’s domestic season and will feature a host of stellar international players including Mohammed Siraj, Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul.
