The White House went into a desperate clean-up Wednesday evening after President Biden appeared to call the half of Americans who support Donald Trump “scum.”

The background is the controversy over the insulting cartoon that appeared at the Trump rally held at Madison Square Garden last weekend.

At the MSG rally, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe joked about Puerto Rico, saying “there’s literally an island of trash floating in the middle of the ocean right now,” referring to the U.S. territory (that’s what comedians do, folks). .

Naturally, the humorless media was outraged over this comment for several days, calling it “racist.” Imagine appearing on the Dave Chappelle show and the headline comes out saying you’re outraged by a ‘racist’ joke. That’s basically the case here.

But Biden’s revenge has come.

Biden appeared to use Hinchcliffe’s comments on the Voto Latino call as a springboard and called Trump supporters “scum.”

Biden calls Trump supporters trash

The funny part about this whole controversy is that Vice President Kamala Harris was supposed to be in the spotlight last night.

Harris gave her closing speech at the Ellipse rally in Washington, D.C., where she contrasted her vision of unity and progress with Trump’s calls for division and personal vendetta. call him “A petty tyrant.”

And then her boss, a petty tyrant, shows up and steals the thunder.

“The only trash I have floating around is his supporters,” Biden said. “His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable and un-American.”

If you watch the video, you can clearly see who he is referring to. But the White House went into furious clean-up mode, adding an apostrophe to the word “supporter” to make it appear as if he was only referring to the comedian. And then the transcript was released spontaneously by the administration and their friends in the media were completely off track.

The situation was so bad that President Biden was forced to explain his remarks on social media, well after his bedtime.

In a statement,

“His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I was going to say. “The comments at that rally do not reflect who we are as a nation.”

But he didn’t say that. any. Unfortunately for him and Kamala, reality was caught on tape.

By the end of the night, no one was talking about Harris’ speech anymore. Biden derailed all her efforts with remarks that echoed Hillary Clinton’s famous “basket of deplorables” comments from 2016.

“You can put half of Trump’s supporters in what I call the ‘basket of deplorables.’ Right?” Clinton said at the time. “Call me a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe, an Islamophobe, whatever you want.”

Of course, Harris himself is no better. They link Trump to Adolf Hitler and generally call people who support him neo-Nazis.

This is who they are. This is what they think about you. Act accordingly.
