Biden pardons son

“President Joe Biden has decided to grant pardon to his son Hunter and is expected to announce it on Sunday night.” NBC News report,

“This decision marks a reversal from the president, who has repeatedly said he will not use his executive power to pardon his son or commute his sentence. The pardon comes ahead of Hunter Biden’s sentencing on Dec. 12, when he was found guilty on federal gun charges. Hunter Biden is also scheduled to be sentenced in a separate criminal case on December 16 after pleading guilty to federal tax evasion charges in September.”

“The pardon is expected to cover both Hunter Biden’s guilty plea and guilty plea on gun charges.”

Biden said. From the statement: “No reasonable person looking at the facts of Hunter’s case could reach any conclusion other than that Hunter was chosen solely because he was my son. And that’s wrong. There have been efforts to bring down Hunter, who has remained sober for five and a half years despite merciless attacks and selective prosecutions. In trying to take Hunter down, they were trying to take me down. And there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. “That’s enough.”
