Ahead of the 2024 season, the Washington Commanders have undergone major changes. This included ownership, front office, coaching staff and players. The Commanders hired Dan Quinn as head coach and Adam Peters as their new general manager. The draft also added veteran talent and brought players into the mix.

Jayden Daniels quickly changed the outlook for the Washington franchise, going 12-5 in 2024. They beat the Bucs in a playoff game and advanced to the divisional round in the first year of their rebuild. The 2024 commander is veteran MLB Bobby Wagner. The 34-year-old missed practice on Tuesday and Wednesday with an ankle injury. However, Dan Quinn said Wagner will play against the Lions on Saturday.

Bobby Wagner is expected to play in the divisional round without a hitch.

In the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Seahawks selected LB Bobby Wagner out of Utah. The first 10 seasons of his career were in Seattle. From 2014 to 2021, Wagner was selected to the Pro Bowl eight consecutive years. He was also named first-team All-Pro six times in seven years. It’s hard to argue that Wagner isn’t the most decorated MLB player to come out of 2010. He was released from the Seahawks after the 2021 season and signed with the division rival Rams.

Wagner returned to Seattle for the 2023 season, his 11th season with the franchise. Wagner became a free agent again in the 2024 season and signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract with Washington. The 34-year-old has started every game defensively for the Commanders this season, including the postseason. After the playoff game against the Bucs, Wagner was experiencing ankle soreness. He missed practice Tuesday and Wednesday, but that won’t stop him from playing. Dan Quinn told the media that his MLB starting pitcher will be available for the game against the Lions. Wagner and the defense will need to play a complete game if they want any chance of shaking up Detroit. according to probability online bettingCommanders prefer a score of 9.5.
