British Channel Pays Price for Mocking Ronaldo!

The BBC has paid a heavy price after mocking the Portugal star for missing a penalty against Slovenia at Euro 2024.

A phrase consisting of English and Cristiano Ronaldo’s name appeared on the BBC’s TikTok account after Ronaldo missed a penalty kick in the first extra time. Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak made the save. It was Misstiano Penaldo. It’s a sarcasm about the fact that Ronaldo misses penalties, even though most of his goals have come from them!

Ronaldo burst into tears after missing a penalty kick in stoppage time during the last-16 clash between his teammates, sparking controversy with some supporting the move and others deriding it.

It’s a heavy price to pay for what happened to the 39-year-old, who saw her follower count on the platform drop from 5 million to just 2 million in just a few days.

This came after many users decided to boycott the radio station, accusing it of ignoring Ronaldo and his history and mocking him simply because he missed a penalty.

What is noteworthy is that Ronaldo converted another penalty in the same game, sending his team into the quarter-finals of Euro 2018 to face France.
