“I did treadmill work downstairs before I went to the studio and lifted at the hotel,” Parker said. “I call it citizen work. I did it six days after we (the Chicago Sky) lost this year. I wanted to compete in everything, whether it was dominoes or beach volleyball. I hate losing, so that’s my mindset. So right now, yeah, I’m game.”
“Let’s see how my body feels in January or February. But I plan on playing. I plan on coming back. Last year, it was the opposite. I couldn’t imagine tying my shoelaces again. I couldn’t imagine playing my 27th game on the schedule. Then in February, the switch flipped and I was ready to go. I like to have an offseason and take my time, but right now, I don’t know if I’ve dribbled the last ball on the court.
Parker is set to become a free agent, but according to Dietsch, she’ll likely only play in Chicago or Los Angeles. CP3 spoke with her about her future in the WNBA, the recently released documentary about her life, Brittney Griner, and her broadcasting career.
