ChatGPT’s AI search engine is rolling out to all users starting today. Open AI announced the news As part of its latest 12 days of ship-mas live streaming, it also unveiled an “optimized” version of its mobile functionality and a search feature using an advanced voice mode.

One of the mobile search improvements is to make ChatGPT look more like a traditional search engine. When looking for a specific location, such as a restaurant or local attraction, ChatGPT displays a list of results with images, ratings, and times. Clicking on a location will show you more information about it, and you can even view a map with directions directly from within the app.

Another feature aims to make ChatGPT searches faster when looking for certain kinds of sites, such as “hotel booking websites.” Instead of generating a response immediately, ChatGPT displays a website link before providing detailed information about each option. ChatGPT can also automatically provide you with up-to-date information from the web when using Enhanced Voice mode. Available to paid users only.
