Enzo Maresca is expected to be announced as Chelsea’s new manager today.
The appointment will conclude the club’s search for a successor to Mauricio Pochettino, who left the club by mutual agreement on May 21.
Chelsea held talks with other candidates, including Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna, but was sold on Maresca due to his impressive record at Leicester. He led Leicester to the Championship when first asked and has a background working with Pep Guardiola. City of Manchester.

But Maresca, 44, is unlikely to have it easy at Stamford Bridge. There are reports that players are unhappy with the departure of popular Pochettino as the team begins to solidify as the season progresses.
Chelsea won their last five Premier League games to finish sixth and secure a spot in the Europa Conference League.
Maresca is set to sign a five-year contract in west London, with the club having an option to sign a sixth-year deal. Leicester will receive almost £10 million in compensation.
