Gray averaged 18.3 points and 6 assists per game on 58.0% shooting from the field and 45.0% from 3-point range during the finals. She has scored or assisted 379 times in postseason sports in Las Vegas, the most in WNBA playoff history, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
“There are moments in the game where you don’t have the ball in your hands, but you orchestrate or call something just because you see it from a different perspective,” Gray told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I watch a lot of basketball, and I always rewatch our games. It’s the little details that make the difference.”

Gray finished Game 3 with 20 points, five rebounds and six assists on 2-3 shooting from beyond the arc, putting together his best postseason performance of all time. In the postseason, Gray averaged 21.7 points and 7.0 assists per game on 61.1% shooting from the field and 55.3% from 3-point range.
“Chelsea Gray is the smartest basketball player I’ve ever seen. Her IQ is ridiculous,” Aces coach Becky Hammon said after Game 2.

Gray was probably the best shotmaker of the postseason. Las Vegas found mismatches and hit the competing J’s at every point en route to the finals. Her ability to score at all three levels has made the Aces’ offense more potent as coach Becky Hammon builds more of the offense around Gray. Following the All-Star break, Gray averaged 15.8 points and 6.2 assists per game on 54.3% shooting from the field over the final 14 games of the regular season.
