A video currently going viral on social media shows a young girl approaching an older man in a store, thinking he was Santa Claus.
The man has a beard and is wearing a dark red shirt, so it’s easy to see how the girl came to this conclusion.
The best part is that the man plays with the little girl instead of ignoring her. Her mother, who recorded the incident, can be heard in the background telling her daughter to tell her what to leave for Santa on Christmas Eve. It’s all very touching.
This actually happened in West Virginia in 2015, and the video is now being shared widely in the run-up to Christmas. The message of the story is timeless.
WJTV reported. About it in 2015:
A man plays with Santa after being mistaken for him while shopping
If you see a man with a white beard and a red shirt in December, he must be Santa Claus, right?
Sophie Jo Riley thought she met ‘Santa’ at a Walmart in Hurricane, West Virginia.
She noticed Roger Lark’s white beard and red shirt and started talking to ‘Santa’.
Larck played along with Riley’s mother recording it on her cell phone.
The two talked about her Christmas tree and how she leaves cookies for him.
Watch the video. It’s really great.

The kindness this man shows to the little girl is the very spirit of Christmas. America needs more of this.
