The Washington Commanders have undergone a complete overhaul of their organization in recent months, replacing their owner and coaching staff as well as retooling their roster in desperate need.

Early reports out of training camp suggest that there is already one rookie on the roster that will give fans something to look forward to in 2024.

In a recent appearance on “Up & Adams,” coach Dan Quinn told Kay Adams that rookie No. 2 overall pick Jaden Daniels has been impressive in camp so far.

“He’s got a great combination of confidence and humility,” Quinn said. “… I think you need both to be great.”

Daniels won the Heisman Trophy at LSU last season, throwing 50 total touchdowns and just four interceptions, so it’s great to hear he’s quickly growing into a leader for the Commanders.

Queen has been in this business for a long time, so it makes a lot of sense that Daniels has already received such high praise from him.

Quinn is considered a defensive coach, having served as the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys for the past three years, but it should be remembered that he was also the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons from 2015-2020, most notably in their narrow loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI after falling short of a 28-3 lead.

The Commanders spent a lot of money in the offseason to upgrade the players around Daniels and get him into a more comfortable landing position, which should make him a little easier to play as a QB for this franchise than Sam Howell had to endure 65 sacks last year.
