This graph shows the number of weekly (column) deaths reported.

We met our original goal of taking down the weekly death count, but we are continuing to publish it now that the death toll has again exceeded our goal.

The weekly death toll is now decreasing and is expected to continue to decline based on wastewater sampling, but is still nearly double the low of 302 in early June.

COVID-19 wastewaterThis appears to be a key indicator for COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths.

COVID-19 levels in wastewater are quite low. That’s only about 18% higher than last May’s low, suggesting weekly deaths will continue to decline.
