New York Giants coach Brian Daboll confirmed East Rutherford’s best-kept secret during a media session Tuesday: He will be directing the offense this season.

Daboll has quietly hinted throughout the offseason and training camp that he will take over the play-calling duties. Offensive coordinator Mike Kafka will be in the booth during games, as he was during the preseason.

Meanwhile, the entire 53-player roster was out on the practice field training, including recently acquired cornerback Adoree Jackson.

Plus, inside linebacker Micah McFadden played for the first time since suffering a groin strain in the Giants’ second preseason game three weeks ago at Houston.

The Giants’ offense wore red in preparation for Sunday’s game against Minnesota. They will wear the 100th anniversary “Century Red” uniforms. The defense wore white and non-contact players wore blue during practice this week.

After learning about the team’s history and announcing the 10 greatest players in franchise history earlier that day, Daboll now turned his attention to the Vikings.
