With the Las Vegas Raiders seemingly stuck in NFL purgatory, rumors are swirling that they are looking to trade away arguably their best player.

Star wide receiver Davante Adams’ name has occasionally popped up in trade rumors lately, but he remains a member of the Raiders, a team they’re finally trying to reclaim some of its glory.

Some speculation about Adams is that he is dissatisfied with the organization, but according to Big Tappur, he did not take such reports very seriously.

Last season he made some comments He said the Raiders are struggling to establish a winning culture and don’t have time to wait for that to develop.

They have a stellar roster of talent, including Adams, fellow wideout Jacoby Myers and star pass rusher Max Crosby, and they also have high hopes for rookie tight end Brock Bowers, the 13th overall pick in April’s draft.

Plus, they have a coach in Antonio Pierce, who the players trust and follow, and have supported since he replaced Josh McDaniels midway through last season.

But Las Vegas’ quarterback situation is not all that enviable. Ideally, Gardner Minshew, who should be the backup, is the starter, with second-year Aidan O’Connell supporting him.

Minshew completed 62.2 percent of his passes for 3,305 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2023, while O’Connell finished with 2,218 passing yards and 12 passing touchdowns in 11 games.

Despite struggles by O’Connell and Jimmy Garoppolo, the Raiders’ starting QBs a year ago, Adams still finished with 103 catches, 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns.
