De Minor hits career-high, France becomes 2nd youngest player in top 50

2024 was a great season. Alex de Minor. He made his top-10 debut in January and has won two titles, amassing a 36-12 record so far. Despite being forced out of Wimbledon with a devastating hip injury before his quarter-final against Novak Djokovic, the 25-year-old still finished at the Championships with a career-high ranking.

De Minaur has risen three places to world number six. The man they call the Demon is one of 10 Australians in this week’s top 100.

De Minaur isn’t the only player to make a big jump in the ATP rankings this week. Italy’s Lorenzo MusettiThe Frenchman, who reached his first Grand Slam semifinal at Wimbledon (losing to Djokovic), jumped nine places to No. 16 (one place below his career best). Arthur Peace He jumped six places to reach a career-high ranking of 28th. Giovanni Empesi Pericard He rose 14 places to reach his personal best ranking of 44th.

Empetsch Pericard and Fields, who made their Wimbledon main draw debuts as lucky losers and reached the last 16, are the two youngest players to have made it into the ATP Top 50.

Roberto Bautista Agut He is the biggest riser in the ATP Top 100. The 36-year-old, who reached the last 16 at Wimbledon, has climbed 37 places to No. 75.

The ATP top five remained the same this week. Yannick Sinner Still 1110 points ahead of 2nd place Novak Djokovic. Carlos Alcaraz2024 Wimbledon Champion, retains 3rd place.
