Democratic Senator Chris Murphy suggested that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin would invade Lebanon to help Donald Trump win the 2024 presidential election.

In an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Murphy addressed Israel’s recent military operations and said their rejection of calls for a ceasefire could be an effort “to influence the outcome” of next month’s election.

He explained:

Prime Minister Netanyahu is pursuing several goals simultaneously. There is no doubt that he cares about Israel’s security. But he seems driven by his own political survival for many days.

We certainly thought we had the ability to reach a ceasefire with Hamas. Hamas blocked that agreement, but Netanyahu also seemed to believe that concluding a ceasefire and prisoner exchange would harm his political interests.

I am certainly concerned that Prime Minister Netanyahu is watching the US election when making decisions about military operations in the North and Gaza Strip.

I hope this is not the case, but it is certainly possible that the Israeli government will not enter into any diplomatic agreements prior to the US election as a means of potentially trying to influence the outcome.

I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think you have to be a hopelessly cynical person to read some of Israel’s actions, namely some of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s actions related to the US election, as being inexcusable.

His comments came after Iran Released A massive missile attack on Israel prompted threats of large-scale retaliation from the Israeli military.

Netanyahu was known to have maintained a close relationship with Donald Trump, but their relationship fell out after Trump. congratulations Joe Biden predicted his ‘victory’ in the 2020 presidential election.

But the two appeared to reconcile their differences during a meeting last July, and he likely privately hoped Trump would win over Kamala Harris.
