The New York Giants took the field Thursday for the second of three practices ahead of their Week 12 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Earlier, coach Brian Daboll met with reporters and expressed optimism that edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux would return from injured reserve (IR) and play in Sunday’s game.
“I’m encouraged,” Daboll said.
Even if Thibodeaux plays Sunday, defensive coordinator Shane Bowen said fellow edge rusher Azeez Ojulari has earned the right to play, hinting at sharing rotational snaps.
Meanwhile, nose tackle Dexter Lawrence, who is usually given a veteran’s rest day, was limited to practice for two days in a row.
