that much WNBA Playoffs provided some unbelievable After a few weeks of entertainment, the best-of-five finals between the Chicago Sky and Phoenix Mercury is already off to an exciting start, with Game 2 airing on Wednesday evening (10/13) at 8pm CT on ESPN.

It’s no coincidence that our #DrDishFam is well represented in the championship rounds. Skylar Diggins-Smith (Mercury) and Allie Quigley (Sky) compete for the coveted trophy.

Through the playoffs, both Diggins-Smith and Quigley essential Both teams led their teams to success, advancing from the play-in round to the finals.

It’s no secret how much Diggins-Smith means to the Phoenix squad. She was one of two players in the league this year to finish the regular season in the top 10 in both points and assists per game.

The Olympic gold medalist has continued that success into the playoffs, averaging 14 points and five assists per game this postseason.

Every team needs a sharpshooter, and Quigley was arguably the best in the league at that role. The 12-year veteran shot a league-best 96% (!!!) from the free throw line during the regular season and ranked in the top three in 3-point shooting percentage (45.4%).

In the playoffs, the “Quigs” averaged 14 points per game and never missed a free throw. That consistency has undoubtedly helped Sky win the Championship just twice.


Game 1 of the best-of-five finals series saw Quigley and the Sky travel west to Phoenix and win 91-77. The second game will be held on Wednesday, October 13th (8 p.m. CT/ESPN) Diggins-Smith and the Mercury will also see the series on their home court before things shift to the Windy City.
