“During the summer we talked to Rome and other people.”

Genoa defender Connie de Winter’s agent Fabrizio Lioi has spoken about his client’s busy summer and the interest from teams like Roma.

After De Winter’s latest equaliser against the Giallorossi at the Ferrari Stadium on Sunday, Lioi said: Tutomercato Web This is about the player’s past relationship with Roma.

“We spoke to many teams this summer, but Connie always said that leaving Genoa would be a qualitative leap forward in every respect. Some teams called us, some called Genoa, but in the end it felt right to stay there.”

“His biggest goal is to have a good year at Genoa and continue playing for the Belgian national team, then the rest can be viewed with great tranquility.”

“Actually we talk a lot to everyone, but in Italy it is always harder than elsewhere to understand when the interest is specific. If you talk to an English or German team, you understand within a few weeks, but with a Serie A club it is more difficult.”
