I like homemade pizza, but I’m also a passionate fan of Calzone, a humble cousin of pizza. And I am for handmade Calzone recipes (from the beginning), but this post is about how to make a calzone easily using a variety of tectonic mix or dough purchased in a store.
Calzone is different from stromboli. Stromboli is rolled like pizza cinnamon rolls, and Calzone has only the top and bottom layers. If the knife zone is a compressed sandwich, Stromboli is a cheating beak. I also think Calzone is like a pizza pocket (or childhood favorite: hot pocket).
The second difference is that Calzone is generally made of ricotta cheese (or cheese mixed with ricotta). This adds moisture to Calzone.

What is Calzone?
Calzone = dough + sauce + cheese + filling
The components of the knife zone recipe are dough, pizza sauce, cheese and fillings such as pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham and other vegetables or proteins. You can also create a cheese knife zone without any other charging.
Another key to the Great Carl Zone is that it must be served with the dipping sauce. The red source used inside Calzone can be provided to soak, so you do not need to create or purchase two other sources unless you want.

In the scratch dough option
For easy Calzone recipes, use one of the options purchased in the store below. However, there are a few pizza dough recipes that can work well to create Calzone from the beginning.
Other pizza dough recipes can work, but avoid very thin or crispy. These will not be bent either. There is an exception, but it is best to stick to pizza dough recipes with yeast.

Calzone Dough option purchased at the store
- Frozen dough for bread-this is an option from my favorite store. Each mass will create three calzones, so the entire package shown above will create nine Calzone if you use it all at once. You need to thaw and roll this dough with a rolling pin.
- Refrigerated pizza dough (like Pillsbury) -This options also work well and can be easily made with different Calzones depending on the size.
- Dry Pizza Crust Mix (like Jiffy) -The effect is effective and the most stable option, but the Calzone crust can make it thin and dry.

This is a frozen bread dough. Check if you use the dough Roll out To the thickness you want before baking.
If you put the dough very thick (more than 1/2 inches), there may be dough inside, and riding from the outside can be completely baked. Adjust the bake time as needed according to the dough recipe you use.

Knife
- sauce -I love red sauce. There is no need inside the calzone. But you will want some parts for dipping. You can create a knife zone with other sources, such as Alfredo or other pasta sauce or barbecue sauce. My favorite sauce in pizza will probably like it in the knife zone.
- cheese -I usually uses a mixture of ricotta cheese and crushed mozzarella. Ricotta cheese is not dried in baking by adding moisture inside the knife zone. In other words, if you want to skip Ricotta, the best replacement is fresh mozzarella and higher moisture.
- topping Pizza toppings can be a filling of Calzone. My family likes pepperoni, and if you have fresh basils, you will usually add it. To use vegetables, you can consider cooking vegetables like roasted bell peppers, onions or mushrooms first. But this is a personal taste and depends on the kind of texture you want.

Roll the dough. If this baking time is recommended here, the diameter of the dough should be about 8-10 inches, 1/2 or less.
Add a spoon or two sauces and sprinkle it more equally towards the edge, leaving a small edge. Put each calzone in the baking sheet lined up on the parchment.
In half of Calzone, I added 2-3 tablespoons of Ricotta Cheese. Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of crushed mozzarella cheese or parmesan cheese. Then add the desired toppings.

Fold the dough itself and create an Empanada shape (half moon). I want to use the fork to press the edge together, but you can roll them. This depends on the dough.
Optional: Wipe the top with egg washing before baking. This creates golden brown.

After baking, come with daing sauce. If you want to feel healthy, add a salad. You do you. take pleasure in! -Ma
