Emerging country music artist Dasha makes Grand Ole Opry debut

Performing at the Grand Ole Opry House is every country artist’s dream, and on Saturday (June 15) Dasha joined the ranks of legendary performers on this iconic stage. The Opry, known for its rich history and tradition, welcomed Dasha to her debut performance.

Before going on stage, Dasha said this. shout out, “I’m blown away by how much history is happening right now. The fact that they asked me to be a part of the Grand Ole Opry means there is so much culture and history here.” This moment is one of many accomplishments Dasha has celebrated this year, and it symbolizes her entry into the country music world.

She expressed her feelings backstage. “It feels like great encouragement from the domestic industry… No, it feels like a warm hug. Being a country artist is a very tight-knit community, and I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about the genre. The whole family is gathered together and saying, ‘Come in, lady.’ We love you and want you here.’ That’s the most special part of tonight. I feel welcome and wanted. That’s all you can ask for.”

Dasha’s Opry debut coincided with the one-year anniversary of the “Austin” demo sent to her label. We look back on a year filled with various achievements, including the 2024 CMT Awards performance and Jimmy Kimmel Live! And her first item is billboard Hot 100, Dasha’s journey has come to a complete conclusion.

Opening her two-song set with a simplified version of “Austin,” the acoustic performance featured a bluegrass twist with banjo and fiddle. Her voice took center stage as the Opry audience sang along to what was quickly becoming a classic hit. She shared in tears. “The number of monthly listeners in January was 100,000, but now the number has exceeded 20 million thanks to that song. For anyone chasing their dreams like me – like me – don’t stop. It will happen.”

She followed it up with “Talk of the Town,” a track about small town love. Dasha’s performance radiated star power, proving to her live audience and radio listeners that she was not just a passing sensation, but an enduring force in country music.
