Storm Hunter is returning from Billie Jean King Cup to Team Tennis, Billie Jean King Cup.

Brisbane, Australia QLD, March 27, 2025 | Camille Rousseau

Storm Hunter is returning from Billie Jean King Cup to Team Tennis, Billie Jean King Cup.

Hunter ruptured Achilles tendon in April last year and showed amazing elasticity about returning to tennis for almost a year.

The injury briefly reduced what was formed as a noticeable season. She finished 2023 with World No.1 DOUBLES Player and finished in the single top 100 rankings.

Following the months of rehabilitation, Hunter returns to court and wants to get green and gold again.

Hunter said, “I’m really happy.” “It was a little dream to come back and represent Australia again. It is always a great sense to me to be a member of this team.”

The tie that comes from Brisbane is especially important for Hunter, just as he was injured in the season at the Billie Jean King Cup last year.

“Since what happened last year, I want to change my memory of playing in Brisbane,” she said.

“It is very special to wear green and gold. I don’t take that moment for granted. This team means everything for me, and I can’t wait to fight for our country.”

Hunter has rebuilt her confidence and form since joining the tour in February, and has recently arrived in the Miami Open Doubles quarterfinals with Caroline Dolehide.

“I can practice as much as I want, but I don’t compare it with the game. I attend the tournament, deal with pressure moments, and support myself when everything is on the line.”

“The first game of Indian Wells was hard, but they gave me confidence. I was improving every day, and it’s really interesting to see what’s starting to repay.”

Hunter’s comeback journey was more than just physical recovery. It was about patience, elasticity and deep love for games.

“I was really good because I was really good when I was injured,” she admitted. “Last year was physically and mentally, but I learned patience and kind law.”

For Hunter, the upcoming Thai is proud of the milestones that have been waiting for a long time. Her first home appeared in the Billy Jean King Cup.

“I was crazy because I was on the team for several years. I made my debut at the age of 17 or 18 and I never had a home tie,” she said.

“Last year I was injured after being selected as a play. Now, in order to have a good health, green and gold, to have a chance to play in front of the house.”
