Austria and Turkey face off in Leipzig this evening, with a place in the last eight of Euro 2024 on the line.

Team News

Austria coach Ralf Rangnick made four changes to the squad that beat the Netherlands in their final group match.

Konrad Reimer replaces the suspended Patrick Wimmer, while Kevin Danso, Philipp Mwene and Christoph Baumgartner are also in the XI.

Danso will play as a defensive partner alongside Philipp Reinhardt, Mwene will play as a left full-back, and Reimer and Baumgartner will play as midfielders.

Marko Arnautovic, who played for West Ham and Stoke, remains up front.

Turkey were ruled out of the game with captain Hakan Calhanoglu suspended after being booked for scoring a goal against the Czech Republic.

Orkun Cocu has replaced the Inter Milan ace, but they have welcomed back Abdelkerim Bardakci as he returns from his suspension to the heart of their defence.

In midfield, Turkey’s only option, Ozkan Salih was replaced by Khan Ayha, with Real Madrid star Arda Gulher once again leading the attack.

Confirmed lineup

Austria starting XI: Pantz, Posh, Danso, Lienhardt, Mwene, Seibald, Sabitzer, Reimer, Baumgartner, Schmidt, Arnautovic

Türkiye starting 11: Gunok, Muldur, Bardakchi, Demiral, Bardakchi, Ayhan, Yuksek, Yildiz, Ilmaz, Kokju, Guller
