Liverpool suffered a defeat at Nottingham Forest and many pundits are split on what went wrong with Arne Slot’s side.

Danny Murphy said on Match of the Day: “The last third lacked ruthlessness and sharpness.

“We may have a few players who travel the world on international assignments. [Slot] “I wasn’t sure before, but now I see how competitive this Premier League is.”

It’s a result we can’t change, but it depends on how we react and how we try to make sure that losing the first game in a busy schedule is the only defeat we see.
