About the role:
GREENPEACE CANADA (GPC) is looking for activists to develop and implement regional, national and global campaign strategies and tactics and provide expertise in the Greenpeace campaign to improve the strategy of Greenpeace Camange and the long -term environment and social justice.
Major responsibility:
- It does not include (including mobilization, non -violent direct behavior, lobby, research, communication) to achieve campaigns, participation and fundraising goals by developing and implementing approved campaign plans and strategies.
- Maintain active contact with potential and established Allied forces, Allied partners and the community. Actively find and participate in discussions with influential individuals and groups. Communicate with federal/local officials related to environmental policies and issues.
- Research and analyze extensive professional data on campaign issues and strategies. Maintain in -depth and current knowledge of campaign issues at the global and national levels (as well as related provinces).
- In close cooperation with Communications Office and Digital Community, we develop media contacts, request media coverage, promote campaigns through digital media, and organize media events.
- Be a spokesman for a campaign spokesman for English and French speech news media, social media, and other public Greenpeace.
- Prepare campaign results and tactics, including written materials.
- Encourage Greenpeace and the public’s support to develop campaign goals. In cooperation with the action coordinator/organizer, organize the rally, demonstrations, demonstrations, behaviors and public events. Please give a presentation and respond to a public speech request. Start cooperative opportunities with major groups.
- We are leading cross -functions, national and global projects as needed according to the established GP project management process. It serves as a task manager within the project management framework. Supervise the approved project budget.
- In response to public inquiries about campaigns and other issues. Prepare data and publications. Attend and/or organize the meeting.
Necessary technology:
- Excellent written and shoe communication skills of English and French
- Knowledge of First Nation, Inuit and Metis Language is very desirable.
- Knowledge of other languages that reflects the diversity of many communities in Canada is also very desirable.
- Important campaign experiences in national and regional contexts, including strategies, plans and effective multiple campaigns that change the behavior of strategies, plans, public and governments and governments.
- The ability to prioritize and concentrate
- A powerful and attractive spokesman who can interview media interviews in French and English
- Digital campaign technology, especially social media
- Strong Interpersonal Technology -Leader/Team Builder experience and work with a broader team member.
- Flexibility -The willingness to pitch and work in other areas, and the subject according to the needs
- Topic Knowledge: Science, Policy and Politics associated with climate and energy (ideal federation, fat and territory)
- Project and time management experience
- A professional network established in Canada
- Executing petroleum and gas extraction, community -centered climate adaptation/elasticity strategy, indigenous support and solidarity, and focusing on public participation
- Experience or willing to learn about NVDA
- Fund fundraising experience or understanding and interaction with campaigns
- Greenpeace’s overall goals and knowledge of campaign activities
- Knowledge of Aboriginal rights, the history of colonies in Canada and the current influence, and the theory of anti -popularity
We will cooperate with colleagues from all over Canada and cooperate with other Greenpeace offices around the world.
The candidates must understand and support the Greenpeace Campaign tactics, including the use of peaceful citizen disobedience.
