Sony Music Latin Iberia announced a new organizational structure for the operation of Brazil, and the company’s operation is now Fernando Cabral de Mello As a CEO.

According to the official announcement, the company’s new “integrated” structure will include Sony Music Brasil and Som Livre, and Sony will continue to operate independently.

Sony Music acquired Som Livre, the owner of the largest domestic record label in Brazil in 2021, for $ 250 million.

Sony formed JV with CTS EVENTIM, a ticketing and live entertainment company under the event banner in 2016, providing ticketing services in Brazil. (Sony worked with CTS Eventim in 2023 to acquire two ticketing companies in South America through joint venture).

According to Sony, in his new role, CABRAL De Mello is responsible for simplifying the overall strategy and operation and using the combined resources and expertise of these business units to increase efficiency and capture new opportunities.

He reports to Sony Music Latin Iberia Chairman and CEO AFO Verde.

Fernando Cabral de Mello is portrayed by Sony as a “seasoned music industry management” with more than 25 years of experience.

He joined Sony Music in 2005 and served as a business vice president of Latin Iberia, including the most recent positions.

Sony said Fernando Cabral de Mello played an important role in the success of numerous global superstars.

In addition to the works in the field of music, CABRAL De Mello played an important role in the growth of CTS events in South America.

He also led the premium content department of Sony Music Latin Iberia and directed the development and production of documentaries, movies, and television series.
