Ferrari ambassador Marc Gene has insisted the idea of attacking the championship is now “inevitable” for the famous Maranello team, even if team boss Frederic Vasseur would prefer it not to be.
Charles Leclerc gave the Scuderia his second win of the season after team-mate Carlos Sainz’s Australian win at the Monaco Grand Prix last weekend, which also marked his first win on home soil.

With Red Bull struggling on the narrow, twisting streets of Monte Carlo, where Max Verstappen finished sixth, the ranks of drivers and constructors have become much closer as the campaign progresses to Canada.
Indeed, Verstappen’s lead over Leclerc has now been reduced to 31 points, while Ferrari, who secured a double podium finish in the principality thanks to Sainz’s P3 finish, remains just 24 points behind Red Bull.
