Q: And Oscar, let’s throw it tomorrow. The last two races were 1 stopper from the front. Do you expect this person to be a bit more interesting?
Op: Yes. Everyone has a very different tire with a grid. George has a solid medium. Charles and I have two media. Max has two hards, so it’s a bit of a mix. We will see what everyone is doing tomorrow tomorrow. Because now I think that’s a little lottery. I think it will be more interesting from a strategic point of view, but I hope it will not be too interesting to me.
Q: Thank you, Oscar. George, let’s come to you. Another great qualification from you. You are really close to Oscar. Was it a very clean rap at the end of the third quarter?
GR: Yes, it was a really strong Q3. To be honest, I didn’t feel it throughout the preliminary round and I had no confidence in myself. I don’t know why it is. Q1 and Q2 were true challenges. But in 3Q, I just returned to the normal rhythm and put a strong rap. One of the poles and mclarens and Charles were also surprised at one -tenth of the previous one. We’ve been talking about -I think we were shocked by both of them. Yes. It is definitely strong.
Q: What has changed in the third quarter? You say you have returned to your normal rhythm, but did you decorate something in the car?
GR: No, no, to be honest, it was just in myself. I’m building buildings from Q1, Q2, and Q3, but today I wasn’t used to the car. And as Oscar said, I was doing donuts this morning, which is not actually the best preparation than the preliminary session. But in the third quarter, I just sent it, I was a little more confident about myself, and the rap was really good. Yes, it’s really strong and really clean and good.
Q: George, last weekend, was the fifth qualification in Japan. Did you approach this session differently from a tire warmup perspective?
GR: This weekend is honest. I was very disappointed in Japan with P5. I felt that we could get a much higher qualification of orders. But this weekend I didn’t expect it to be in the front row. I thought the P3 would be the best we could achieve today. In reality, it can also be p7, even P6, even P7. It is amazing to be in the front row. I don’t expect it to be a simple race tomorrow. I think Oscar will be fast. They seem to be longer than the field when they are too hot for tires and tires. This will experience tomorrow. So let’s see how it pops out.
Q: Well, George, we already have Oscar with you in the front row this season. How can I win him tomorrow? Is there anything about tire wear, or can you see run as a major opportunity?
GR: Unlike the first three games of the season, this doesn’t necessarily have to be a preliminary race. I think this will be the most biased race for the lap time you do in the race. Obviously I want to start a good start. I was in the front row and entered the lead in turn 1. So I hope I can repeat it. But I think they are far ahead of them. They can get a pit early and get a pit late. Perhaps it will potentially overtake us. But as I said, today we are in the front row and no one is expected to be at the forefront except Lando and OSCAR. So tomorrow’s surprise.
Q: Okay, George, very thankful. I did well to you. And Charles, you are great too. Bahrain has a huge record. How good was that qualification rap?
CL: It was really good, but I don’t think today’s performance depends on my record for this track. I think that’s the result of many things. At the beginning of the season, we were clearly not where we wanted, and after two or three races, I disappeared in an interesting direction. That’s what I want to do every weekend. It seems to be better and better now, which is a good sign for the future. I am satisfied with the rap. It was very difficult to organize everything, but I think it was. Not more in the car. Again, as I mentioned by George, I didn’t expect it to be too close to the play. But tomorrow will be a little more challenged.
Q: Please tell me a little more about tomorrow. You showed a good face in one rap. What is your view on the Grand Prix itself?
CL: To be honest, MCLAREN seems to be very excellent due to tire management, especially overheating of tires. We saw it in FP3. I think everyone is struggling a lot. But OSCAR put a rap. I think there will be a lot of things in the race tomorrow. So we don’t expect to challenge Mclarens, but we’ll be very close to Mercedes and Red Bulls. So it will be an interesting race. We all have different tires. In order for clean air to play a big role, a good start is essential at this high temperature.
Q: I talked about the settings changed in the last two Grands Prix. How is the car change this weekend? Do you think that cars are generally more competitive with new beats and different new floors?
CL: Yes, the team was really good. We have been struggling with performance because we have been struggling with performance. I know that in the factory, they are pushing like crazy to bring this floor a little early. If you look at the spacing of the P4, you are not very much and you are not a p3 without the floor. So it has already won a position. I wonder what to do tomorrow. But extracting the maximum value from this new upgrade is not the best track, but you can see more next weekend.
Question from the floor
Q: (Luke Smith -Athletic) OSCAR is lando down to P6. In the early days of the Championship, this small momentum shakes, as the small momentum saw in Australia. Should they be able to capture this moment when they take it?
OP: Let’s see where he ends first. Obviously, it is good to be in the pillar, but as George said, I think this is the first race that does not mean everything. I still think it is important, but I expect him to counterattack tomorrow. I just try to do the best I can do, and where he is over, where he’s finished everywhere.
Q: (EdD Straw -The Race) Another person for you, Oscar. George said MCLAREN could do almost everything tomorrow and move forward. Obviously everyone in Mclaren pushed a little while when people claimed how far they were. Do you think that is a almost different perspective? Now you are consistently the fastest car. It is still very difficult to extract that speed and work throughout the weekend. Is it the core of that kind of push bag?
OP: Next to me, I do not get out of the fact that we have the best cars. I think it’s not right to say that is not. But it’s hard and the margin is still tight. Losing a quarter of the one or two did not require much mistake, and the difference was much more. Sometimes we looked very strong like this morning. But I know that when everyone appears for the qualifiers, we still have to hit the best foot. As we saw in Japan, we couldn’t make the most of the car and could not run by MAX. And today, LANDO is definitely difficult because it is not in the front row. I think it’s fast enough to do everything we want, but we have a good advantage that we are doing our best to keep using it all week.
Q: (Luke Smith -exercise) Oscar, another one. How did you feel the car this weekend? You really seem to be confident. If everything is clicked on FP2, FP3 and through Quali, can you feel a little pace from it?
Op: Yes, I think so. P1 wrote some writings to everyone. But the FP2 already felt confident. This morning FP3 was clearly very powerful, but especially in the case of not representative -you were always qualified. But I think I was used to the car of the FP2. We didn’t have to change too much since then. For myself, it was a relatively simple car to put a consistent rap on the board, which was also the most important. This is clearly the most important. I felt very comfortable this weekend. I thought it was comfortable throughout the season as a car we had, but another step has moved forward this weekend.
