FIA statement on recent data incidents

MONews
1 Min Read

A recent phishing incident resulted in unauthorised access to personal data stored in two of the FIA’s email accounts.

The FIA took all steps to rectify the problem, in particular blocking the illegal access within a very short time, after becoming aware of the incident and notifying the French data protection regulator, the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés, and the Swiss data protection regulator, the Préposé Fédéral à la Protection des Données et à la Transparence.

The FIA apologises for any inconvenience caused to the affected individuals.

We take our data protection and information security obligations very seriously and continually review our systems to ensure they are robust in the context of evolving cybercrime. FIA has put in place additional security measures to protect against any future attacks.

Any party with concerns regarding personal data may contact FIA at dpo@fia.com.
