Four-time WNBA Champion Lindsay Whelan has another great drill to share with our Dr. Dish Fam. It’s called 27 Games. This drill focuses on incorporating different types of footwork and lots of repetitions. Check out the full breakdown in the video below!
27 games
- Players shoot three different shots in three successive rounds from three different locations, for a total of 27 shots.
- The three other points are the wing, the top of the key, and the opposite wing.
- The first shot is when players catch the ball following a pass and shoot.
- In the next shot, the players dribble hard to the right, then move up and hit the shot.
- On the last shot at each point, players dribble hard to the left and then pull up to shoot.
- Players repeat this sequence of shots three times at each spot before moving to the next spot.
- Players should set a goal for how many shots they want to hit and increase that goal each time they practice.
