Garrett Wilson defends Giants’ Malik Nabers from critical fans.

New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers has been as advertised since being selected sixth overall last April. In just four weeks, he is well on his way to becoming a star in the league.

LSU’s star receiver may sound familiar to Giants fans, considering Odell Beckham Jr.’s heyday about a decade ago.

Nabers, who has been on the attack, is breaking records left and right as the defense struggles to keep the ball out of his hands.

Fair or unfair, Nabers also had a few drops in key moments that could have benefited the Giants. This was most noticeable on Day 4 of the Week 2 loss to the Washington Commanders.

Some fans couldn’t let this go. And after another downturn against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4, there were calls for Nabers to clean it up.

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson doesn’t want to hear that.

Wilson is one of the best young receivers in the league and it’s great to see him in action for Nabers, who has been stellar in Big Blue.

If Nabers could convert a fourth down in Week 2 or somehow hold on to the ball in Week 4, the Giants might have a better record, but the reality is they would never have won without him.

Rookies make rookie mistakes, and considering the number of times Neighbors has been targeted, he’s expected to fall once or twice.
