Week 9 kicked off this Thursday night, and after catching a pair of acrobatic touchdowns from Garrett Wilson, the Jets moved to 3-6 on the season.

Garrett Wilson stunned in Jets win

Garrett Wilson was on fire this Thursday night and the Jets receiver was a problem all night for the Texans in their 21-13 loss to New York at MetLife Stadium.

All the talk about the Jets has centered around Davante Adams over the past few weeks and the return of Aaron Rodgers via trade from Las Vegas.

But on Thursday night, Garrett Wilson reminded fans that there isn’t a single wideout to worry about in New York, as he almost single-handedly won Thursday Night Football for the Jets.

Wilson went for 90 yards on nine receptions against the Texans, but it was his two touchdown catches that caught the attention Thursday night.

His first goal of the night was particularly impressive. Wilson was able to reach for the ball thrown behind him and catch it with one hand. After scoring the catch, Wilson waltzed to the end zone to make it six.

Wilson’s second touchdown catch was somewhat more impressive than his first, as he single-handedly grabbed a desperation throw from Rodgers that initially appeared to be out of bounds.

After a long score review for New York, Wilson got his second touchdown of the game, with the receiver able to bounce his shank to extend the hosts’ lead.

There were shades of ‘OBJ’ on Wilson’s catch on Thursday, as the NFL legend made his iconic one-handed catch on the same field a decade ago.

With a win over the Texans to start Week 9, the Jets remain in the playoff race, but there’s a long way to go for the 3-6 A-Rod and company in the postseason.
