Gary Anderson is alerting Ferrari’s SF-25

MONews
7 Min Read

Former F1 designer Gary Anderson has doubted whether Ferrari’s new SF-25 represents “upgrades” compared to the “problem” Mercedes machine in recent years.

Prior to the 2025 Formula 1 season, Hamilton’s blockbuster movement from Mercedes to Ferrari made a tremendous expectation with fans and experts to see if seven world champions can win the eighth title with fans and experts.

However, after closely monitoring Ferrari’s achievements in the pre -season test, Anderson suggests that Hamilton can face the familiar challenge for the pursuit of his glory.

The last three seasons, following the F1’s ground effect regulations, were struggle for both Hamilton and Mercedes.

Since 2022, Briton has won two victories as a significant preliminary deficit to the team member George Russell despite the 2024 season (Silverstone and SPA).

At the end of last year, Hamilton’s honest position was a 40 -year -old guessing in January despite the faint hope of hope for the last chapter of victory.

Anderson’s verdict: lack of driver -friendly characteristics

Gary Anderson wrote in Telegraph’s column and provided a somewhat cold evaluation of SF-25 based on the exhibition of Bahrain.

Unlike Hamilton’s expected step ahead, former Jordan Grand Prix technology director Anderson argued that Ferrari lacked the “positive” characteristics of Britain.

Anderson said, “Since 2022-2024, he has struggled with unpredictable Mercedes for a variety of degrees and last year was a low point.

“I have won two laces, but I have to be comfortable -uncomfortable. It was the worst season of his career. It’s still early, but in the first impression, the new Ferrari doesn’t seem to be a big upgrade in the Mercedes W15 last year. ”

Anderson explained in detail the handling of SF-25.

“Hamilton likes positive cars that can be extracted the most in talent and minimize rap time. It didn’t look like that positive [in testing]. ”

“When Hamilton drove the car, it would have been hit hard and popped out quite hard on the ground.

“There will always be uncertainty in the early stages of the season, but if you see Hamilton’s mistake or wide run, you can be sure that the car does not give him the desired feedback.”

Anderson provided a space for optimism, but the important questions were still not solved.

“In short, I’m not sure if he has a package. But he is more suitable for him than a car that has been driving in 2024, ”he said.

“But in the early stages, it can be provided with some setting experiments, and more teams LECLERC comes in.”

Brundle’s Onboard Alarm: “Really, Really Unpleasant”

Alex Brundle, a racing driver and son Sky F1 Pundit Martin Brundle best heard the alarm of SF-25’s actions on the last day of Bahrain.

Mentioned about the onboard scene of Hamilton knee, Brundle explained the handling of a car in a clear term.

“Ferrari seems really difficult to drive this afternoon,” he said.

“I was watching a little early. End in turn 4, turn 11, wide road. Through 13 corners. Hamilton is actually struggling to enter the vertex anywhere in the wind. ”

Even though Hamilton completed a relatively stronger rap, Brundle was still unknown.

“This will be a better rap for him, but it doesn’t look happy. Large Under Steer through the middle corner [but] Perhaps one of the better corners [Hamilton’s] knee.

“Really, really, it looks really unpleasant [wheel]What did you do for Hamilton, everything you are testing. ”

He acknowledged the experimental characteristics of the pre -season and added, “Of course it doesn’t work, but it’s not friendly.”

BRUNDLE’s observation matched Anderson’s concern and drew a photo of a car that can test Hamilton’s adaptability.

Ferrari’s technical challenge and the struggle of Leclerc

The difficulty of SF-25 is not limited to Hamilton. According to Planetf1, according to an Italian report, Charles LeclerC suggested that Bahrain was also matched with an unexpected unpredictable behavior of the car.

Since 2015, the team’s decision to return to Ferrari, a full -load front suspension layout, has been champions for long champions by rivals from MCLAREN and Red Bull.

Ferrari’s technical team, led by LOIC SERRA, is trying to solve this problem ahead of Australian Grand Prix, and he is trying to solve this problem.

Important changes in SF-25, including suspension inspection, can provide more development potential for Ferrari as the season progresses.

But mastering the PullRod concept is important for unlocking the entire performance of the car, a task that requires time and fine adjustment.
As Hamilton started his trip to Ferrari, Bahrain’s early signs would not have been difficult for the last few years in Mercedes.

Anderson’s SF-25 warns that it is not yet “great upgrade,” and explains Brundle’s “Really unpleasant” handling emphasizes uncertainty surrounding the new machine of Italian costumes.

For drivers who thrive confidence and consistency, the current form of SF-25 can create immediate obstacles.

But as the season begins, I hope that Ferrari will be able to improve the car according to Hamilton’s strengths.

As Anderson pointed out, the familiarity with the dynamics and continuous setting experiments of LeclerC’s team can still turn algae.

Whether the SF-25 evolves into a championship competitor or a successor to Hamilton’s Mercedes, the Australian Grand Prix will be the first to take a glimpse of the F1’s most famous driver in his bold chapter.
