Former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne has urged Marcus Rashford to get back to enjoying football.
The 26-year-old has had a tough time at Manchester United, scoring just seven goals last season as the Red Devils finished eighth in the Premier League.
This meant he was left out of the England squad for Euro 2024 despite being a favourite with Gareth Southgate for years.
Rashford has been linked with a shock move away from Old Trafford, but he still enjoys the trust of his manager Erik ten Hag.
And former Premier League legend Gascoigne has now spoken out about the situation.
I speak on your behalf Sports Talk Philly to targetHe said: “Marcus Rashford, I’m a bit disappointed he’s not in the Euros because I like Rashford.”
“The problem with Rashford is he just needs to laugh, f*cking! Buy him something to laugh at. He just can’t seem to enjoy it.

“He plays for Manchester United and with the salary he gets, he’s living a luxurious life there and he should be enjoying it.
“I used to hate it when some players scored a goal and didn’t celebrate. Because there’s a guy who wants to take his three sons to a game. It costs a lot of money to go to Wembley, for example, and you have to pay for food and tickets. And the players just go and don’t like it. If the fans hadn’t come to see me play, I wouldn’t have had a nice holiday, I wouldn’t have had a nice car and jewellery.
“I’m like a gladiator. I try to entertain the fans. I guess that’s what I did.”
Rashford needs to get fit if he wants to be named in Manchester United’s starting XI.
He started in the 1-0 win over Fulham on the opening day but still faces competition from the likes of Alejandro Garnazo, Anthony and Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils travel to Brighton on Saturday to start the 2024-25 season with a 6/6 advantage.
