China’s Zheng Qinwen and America’s Emma Navarro are currently seventh and eighth in the Race to Riyadh standings, but only one spot is reserved for Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova, who will qualify if she finishes in the top 20.

Considering the health problems of Rivakina, who has not been able to compete since the U.S. Open, and the absence of Swiatek, who has also not been able to compete since the U.S. Open, a gap may be created if players withdraw.

Italy’s Paolini also qualified for doubles. She will be playing with Sara Errani. Two spots are still open for doubles play.

Lydmyla Kichenok and Jelena Ostapenko, Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe, Hsieh Su-Wei and Elise Mertens, Errani and Paolini, Desirae Krawczyk and Caroline Dolehide, Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova have already qualified.

The WTA finals are scheduled to be held from November 2 to November 9.
