A piece of Hollywood real estate history is up for grabs once again… Gene Wilder It’s a house in Bel Air… it’s a really colorful place.
The late actor’s former home is on the market for $12,950,000. It has quite an interesting history. It also includes the following links: Elon Musk.
Gene bought the place in 1976 for about $300,000, a big deal after the hit 1974 film “Young Frankenstein.”
The home features four bedrooms, five bathrooms, 2,750 square feet of living space, and a kidney-shaped pool in the backyard overlooking the Bel Air Country Club golf course.
Wilder lived there for decades before selling the property in 2007 for $2.75 million, and Musk bought it in 2013 for $6.75 million.
At the time, Elon owned a larger, newer home across the street, and Musk preserved Gene’s quirky home and used it as a venue for parties and events.
When Elon announced in 2020 sale He sold all his possessions and put the house on the market for $9.5 million, making it clear that he wanted the next owner to own it as is rather than tear it down and rebuild it.
Eventually, Elon made a deal with Jin’s nephew, Jordan Walker-PearlmanThe man who grew up in the house with his famous uncle. Elon sold the house back to the family for $7 million… under the condition that Jordan not change the “soul” of the house.

Now, Gene’s house is back on the market. It came up on the same day that the Wall Street Journal reported that Jordan and Elizabeth were behind on their mortgage payments.
The WSJ also reported that an entity associated with Musk recently filed a default notice on the home, an early step in the foreclosure process.
Elon has said he could push for a sale within a few months, and Jordan and Elizabeth are expected to try to sell before the deadline.
Our sources say that the Jin family and Elon share the same desire to keep the house in its original condition, and that this will be part of the deal.
