Over the past two weeks, the Detroit Lions have performed particularly well on the offensive side of the football, including back-to-back wins over the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys, scoring 89 points to their opponents’ total of 38. Yes.

At this point, the Lions look like a team that got to the NFC Championship Game last season and gave the San Francisco 49ers all they could handle before Brock Purdy and company advanced to the Super Bowl to face the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Lions are coming off their most impressive win of the season, dominating Dak Prescott’s team from start to finish, which has made the league recognize that Detroit may be the best team in the conference, if not the entire NFL, right now.

Perhaps the most eloquent acknowledgment of the Lions’ current state came from 49ers stars George Kittle and Deebo Samuel. Both agreed that Detroit will likely be the best team in the conference in Week 7.

“I think they’re playing their best,” Kittle said, via B/R Gridiron. “That seems to be the case right now.” “… If they can continue to play at that level for the rest of the season, my goodness, look out everyone.”

If the Lions offense can continue firing on all cylinders with the two-headed running backs Jared Goff showing off the two-headedness of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit’s division-rival Minnesota Vikings have proven to be the real deal.

It will be interesting to see which teams are left standing when the NFC Championship Game begins.
